The competition is designed to encourage and support innovative research ideas in the field of bioprinting. We are inviting researchers who have a proof of concept for their research project and are in the application stage to apply for the contest.

Introducing our BIOPRINTING CONTEST, a celebration of our 7th anniversary in deep tech bioprinting. We’re thrilled to invite passionate researchers world-wide to pitch us their most innovative research ideas in the field of bioprinting. And to sweeten the pot, we’re offering a prize that will make your research come to life : a Trivima Mini Series Bioprinter for six whole months*!
But this isn’t just any old contest. We’re not just looking for any research ideas. We want to hear from researchers who have a proof of concept and are in the application stage of their project. We want to help those who are on the cusp of greatness, but just need a little extra support to get there.

Trivima Mini by Next Big Innovation Labs®
Our expert panel of judges will review all applications and select the winner based on the quality of the research idea and its potential impact. The winner of the contest will receive our state-of-the-art Trivima Mini bioprinter for a period of 6 months that will help them bring their research project to life (Note: If the project is successful and requires more time, appropriate changes to the duration will be made if required).

The Trivima Mini Bioprinter comes equipped with a single extruder and bed with dimensions large enough to fit a 35mm petri plate. Comes equipped with our patented Anti Backlash technology for effortless and precise X, Y and Z axes movement, the bioprinter is capable of printing most biomaterials. It’s built to take your research anywhere, print anywhere, anytime!

Next Big Innovation Labs® (NBIL) is a seven year old Bioprinting company based out of Bangalore. NBIL builds customised 3D Bioprinters (Trivima) and is currently using this patented technology, processes and trade secret biomaterials to develop 3D bioprinted human skin (Innoskin®). The long term vision for the company is to create a versatile 3D Bioprinting platform, comprising of the company’s patented tech, multidisciplinary team, unique processes and breakthrough biomaterials, to bridge the abyss between Transplantable Organ Demand and Availability.
Terms and Conditions to Win a Trivima – Mini Bioprinter :
- Age Eligibility: The contest is open to all Individuals worldwide who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
- Entry requirements: To enter, participants must fill the form provided with details of their research and its proof of concept in accordance with the contest guidelines.
- Originality and Ownership: Participants must ensure that their submission is an original work, and it does not infringe on the rights of any other person, entity, copyright, or trademark.
- Submission deadline: All entries must be submitted by 14th May 2023. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Selection criteria: Proposals will be selected based on their originality, novelty, significance, methodology, and feasibility. The judging panel’s decisions are final.
- Disqualification: Next Big Innovation Labs® reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of the contest rules and guidelines
- Notification of winners: Winners will be notified by email. If a winner does not respond within the specified time frame, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
- Prize: The winner will receive” Trivima – Mini Bioprinter” for a period of 6 months. Based on the project the time period can be extended.The total number of winners and the value of the prize may vary.The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
- Publication: Next Big Innovation Labs® will publish the entries in its media outlets or other relevant publications with credit to the participant. The winner shall mention and credit Next Big Innovation Labs® and Trivima in their publications.
- Use of personal information: By entering the contest, participants agree to the use of their personal information by Next Big Innovation Labs® for the purposes of administering the contest, including contacting winners, and for marketing purposes.
- Confidentiality: Next Big Innovation Labs® will sign a mutual NDA and not disclose any confidential information submitted with the research proposal to any third party without the entrant’s prior written consent.
- Liability: Next Big Innovation Labs® is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the entrant’s participation in the contest or acceptance and use of the prize.
- Agreement to terms: By participating in the contest, entrants agree to these terms and conditions.
