We are a six year old 3D Bioprinting company based out of Bangalore, India. We build 3D Bioprinters (Trivima) and are currently using this patented technology, processes and trade secret biomaterials to develop 3D bioprinted human skin (Innoskin®️).

Dr. Jayesh Bellare
Course Curator
Prof. Jayesh Bellare is “Institute Chair Professor” of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is an elected Fellow the National Academy of Science, India, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, and the Electron Microscopy Society of India, amongst others. He is an expert in biomedical devices, 3D printed resorbable scaffolds, cryo-electron microscopy, nanomedicines, and implants for regenerative medicine. He has set up a cGMP facility at IITB that has received a trial manufacturing license from DCGI/CDSCO for a bone graft study underway at AIIMS Delhi. His awards include the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Government of India Ministry of Ayush for his work in nanomedicines; the Presidential Award of the Electron Microscopy Society of America; and the NASI-Reliance Platinum Jubilee Award for application-oriented research.

Dr. Geetha is working on enhancement of service period of biomaterials for past 21 years . She has carried out her Ph.D in two national labs, Defence metallurgical Research lab and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research . Her post-doctoral training was at Clemson University, USA. Her passion towards development of implants with optimum properties has led to the creation of a Centre for biomaterials in her University with an interdisciplinary team and the main focus of this team are surface engineering of implants, tissue engineering,imaging, biomechanics, stem cell and gene therapy. She has been ranked as Number one scientist in the field of materials science for the period 2009-2014 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, India for her major contribution on Ti based biomaterials in Progress in materials science.

A multidisciplinary scientist with extensive experience in research, management and teaching in the area of biomedical engineering, chemistry, biological sciences, biomaterials and 3D fabrication technologies. Dr. Deepak has been working on development of novel materials, their analysis and applications to solve real life problems in medicine.
Dr. Deepak brings in extensive experience in biomaterials, biocompatible coatings, 3D printing technologies, design and development of medical devices and implants, colloids and interfaces, cell culture, stem cells, proteins and their interactions with materials and bio-Nanotechnology. His research and education has resulted in publication of 3 Books, over 90 scientific publications in internationally peer reviewed journals, and several invited book chapters.

Amit Kumar Jaiswal is an Associate Professor at Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), Vellore Institute of Technology Vellore (VIT Vellore).
His research interest lies in “Materials for Health Care Applications” which includes 3D Bioprinting of artificial skin substitutes for burn wound applications, scaffold Engineering, In vitro tissue-engineered Model for bone tumor and bone adhesives. He receives his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

For more than 19 years, Dr. MacKenzie held senior positions in strategic business development in the domains of pharma, drug discovery, biotech and research, and has published several scientific papers. Dr. MacKenzie has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Dundee and completed two industrial collaborative post-docs in inflammatory, oncology and metabolic disease.

We conduct a two-day hands-on session during which we teach you all about G-Codes, Scaffold Design and provide you with a detailed hands-on with our awesome Trivima Bioprinters.

We only conduct hands-on sessions for students at universities. If there are more than 10 students from your university on the course, we would be more than happy to come down and conduct a two day hands-on session
Yes. This course is certified by Next Big Innovation Labs®.
There is no specific background required to attend the course although an academic background in applied sciences would have a gradual learning curve.
Typical course engagement including all elements of the course would be around 30 hours. You will have access to the course for a period of 45 days from the enrolment date.

Grading criteria is followed based on the following activities –
Retest for final assessment only, can be availed for a nominal retest fee.
Enrolled users must have access to stable internet connection for accessing the LMS and video streaming services. Standard browsers like google chrome, safari and mozilla firefox are compatible to access the course.
No specific knowledge criterion required to participate in the course. The course is open to all.
